if file exist then only need to run the data flows.
IF one file exist it should run only one.

Hi,
I am plagued by idle time out setting for repository database where a job that takes more than 40 minutes
is encountering connection time out for repository database. Is there any simple solution other than working around
this issue? We cannot change the database connection time out option and increase the value in Production.
Please advise the best course of action.

We are intended to do data migration for master data using SAP Data Services 4.0 with the help of Migration services module.
1. Downloaded ATL (ERP) that is provided in the SAP Best Practices for Data Migration.
2. Ran the lookup jobs - Job_DM_Lookups_Initialise and Job_DM_Lookups_FileToApp successfully.
3. Created a Staging Area Name with in Migation Services and tested successfully.
4. When I click on "Lookup Maintenance", I can see all objects as a drop down and view names. But, there is an eror "Error: Please see console" and no data is being displayed except the below error.
"Error: Please see console".
Did any one face the similar situation earlier?

When I execute the program /FLDQ/RSADRQU2, in the section Mulit-process settings based on available resources. In the field Available DQ Instances it shows '0'.
Can anyone assist me in understanding why I have 0 for DQ Available DQ instances.
I do have RFC TCP/IP connection which do successfully connect to FL_GDQC_SERVER and FL_GDQC_BATCH.

Our current BODS production environment is running on 4.1 version. We are planning to migrate to 4.2 version and we are going to get new physical servers and 4.2 will installed in these new servers.
Is there way I can easily replace 4.1 batch files running from old servers to replace with 4.2 batch files which are going to run from new servers.
Can any one recommend what is the best and easiest way to replace 4.1 batch files with 4.2 batch files without re-exporting batch files from new servers? Any one faced this kind of scenario?

Please help me in understanding the few facts related to the "Data Cleanse Transforms" . Below is the relevant image i am referring to :
I am confused regarding the Fields which are getting displayed under the "FIELD_NAME" in the OUTPUT Tab(which is in Data cleanse transform),Where from these fields arrived. Did they arrive after running the job? Because these fields needs to be mapped in the output schema and they ain't available in the input ,moreover they have been named in accordance to the order of -> PARENT COMPONENT , FIELD_NAME, FIELD _CLASS with underscore attached.
I need to use the above concept in my example too.But when i tried using it, the fields under the output tab were empty

inside table comparison I am using PK1,PK2,PK3 as primary key and compare column as Status.
in Map operation : Delete : Update
Final Target table should be:

We are using http://<host>:<port>/DataServices/servlet/webservices?ver=2.1 - "Service_Realtime_DQ_Addr_check_Suggestions" to implement an Address Search functionality in a third party UI. I do understand that if I use this Web Service to search for addresses based on a Post code, it will bring back a list of address suggestions - But this will not be the complete list of all addresses and I will have to make multiple calls with Reply_1 filled up (based on the Suggestion_status) to drill down the hierarchy of addresses. For Example:
First Web Service Call : Search based on Post Code: B15 2EN.
The Result is: Suggestion status = 'A' and the Suggestion Count = 6 and the suggestion list as below:

Question 1: Is there anyway I can merge Web Service Call 1 and 2 into one single call - Basically I do not want to make multiple round trips..I would like to get all the addresses listed out in one call (In the example I have provided above, My first call should bring back 5 + 52 = 57 Addresses in the suggestion list. (Similar to the QAS Address Search Web Service) - Please let me know if this is possible?

I am working on the Data Quality transform ( Data Cleanse transform).Following are the data for the input fields:-
My Data cleanse Editor:- ( I have mapped the input field :Combined Names)
However I am getting an error of "Input field missing " in the error log window during the execution of job
A client just threw a Data Services question at me that I can't answer - how do you get Data Services to integrate with Amazon S3? They want to read files from S3 into Data Services for analysis and transformation, and then write their output back to S3 (ideally).
I did some googling and surprisingly, I can't find any discussions of anyone having done this before.
Could Data Services could call FTP to move files in and out of S3?
Is there some other interface or API that could be called from Data Services using the SQL transform (via a custom stored procedure)?
Has anyone already solved this?
I would be delighted to hear your ideas or war stories.

We have a scenario where we will migrate the ERP data which is on MS Navision ( Microsoft ERP). Considering there is less number of records for key data objects like customer, vendor, material, GL like 10K ~ each. there are some open transactions as well as typical AP, AR etc.
Data quality is Ok, mostly there would be one to one mapping. Plan is to get the extracts in excels, validate there itself with some queries and enriched excel will be loaded to SAP HANA via ABAP programs. Obviously there would be Value mappings etc. will be maintained separately.
Anyone came across this kind of scenario? Please let me know if you see any challenge here.

SAP has recently released SP07 for SAP Data Services 4.2. Till now I can't locate SAP Data Services 4.2 with SP07 full install though I can find and download SAP Data Services 4.2 SP07 update in the support.sap.com / downloads portal successfully.
My question is - when SAP Data Services 4.2 with SP07 full install will be available in support.sap.com / downloads portal?

We are working on project to load data into BW7.3 using DS4.1.
When we import DS dataflows in Integration system, we have this error message for all BW datasources we try to load.
Solution is to reimport manually all BW_TARGET into DS. And then, we can load it without any issue.
But we want to avoid manual intervention after import in Integartion and Productive systems.
We find the note 1854719 about this issue and BW authorization but it doesn't correct anything.
Do you have an idea how to fix it ?

I was hoping i could find some help here on this error. I have a database SQL connection set up using the advanced connection option for "Use windows authentication". This uses my own personal user id to login, I tested and get a successful connection.
However, when I run my job I see the following error:

where XXXXXX is actually a different user name than my own. It seems like the job server is using a different user ID than my own to execute the job which I think causes issues with the NT login. Is there a way to fix this? Force the job server to use my info?

We use SAP HANA as the staging database and also our SAP CRM schema sits on the same HANA database. Till date I have been reading SAP CRM specific tables by connecting to the SAP datastore and reading the tables through RFC. But now I would like to read the same table directly from SAP CRM schema of HANA.
In this standard CRM table, we have a field which holds the value of a GUID. It's datatype is RAW in SAP. However when I use this table as source in Data Services, GUID field datatype is shown as BLOB and I would like to store this data as varchar into a template table.
Job fails because I cannot convert BLOB to VARCHAR. Infact I cannot use BLOB field as a parameter in any function of Data Services.
Please let me know if there is any 100% working solution to store BLOB datatypes as varchar?

I assign a column to a GV and determine a specific value for this GV in running time. It works if we just would like to pull out a specific value for this column. My question is how to pull out all of records during the running time? ( If I leave the value of GV blank, 0 record will be loaded) Thanks for your help!
